  • November 24-25, 2010 November 24-25, 2010 Two day Orientation of field crews and field supervisors with the Digital Tracking System in Carbon, Alberta. The orientation was conducted to familiarize all personnel with the functions on programs used before and introduce new software for the upcoming operations.
  • March 12, 2011 March 12, 2011 Successful completion using the digital system for the First Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all computers from the rigs. The Program Included digital data collection using the WM Field System for over 550 wells.
  • March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 Successful Completion of theSecond Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all personnel from the field. The program included full Field Supervision and the full WM Digital System for over 600 wells.
  • May 2012 May 2012 Successful Completion of theSecond Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all personnel from the field. The program included full Field Supervision and the full WM Digital System for over 600 wells.
  • July – Sep 2010 July – Sep 2010 Testing WM Digital System with Suncor.

FIELD:


TITLE - SALES TEAM LEAD

 DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Lead Technical Sales Representative will be required to identify business opportunities, sells the Company’s services and products, develops and maintain relationships with clients, select, hire and train new sales personnel, prepare reports, maintain professional and technical knowledge and contribute to team effort.  Considerable coordination and time management skills are required.

The main areas of work are focused on oil sands Geotech, Geology, Coring full turnkey Supervision with custom cutting edge monitoring, a reporting system developed in house and a custom made remote Geoetech Lab

The Lead Technical Sales Representative significantly contributes to the company’s overall business success. This position reports to the President and Lead Management.

TITLE
Safety Coordinator - Project Work

DESCRIPTION
For work in the Wellsite Masters Calgary Office on a full time basis. Will be required to conduct risk assessments, orientations, investigations, audits and training sessions.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To maintain and develop the Company Health & Safety Program.
• Conduct audits, training, and orientations, as necessary.
• Responsible to comply with all current OH&S regulations and codes on all projects and report and manage information and correspondence for any inccidents, investigations, and near misses.
• Assisting injured workers in obtaining modified duties and administering the return to work policy.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• NCSO or CSO Certification minimum 2 years experience.
• Valid Driver's license - Able to travel to field site locations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of project personnel.
• Strong verbal, written, persuasive and analytical skills.
• Good computer skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite.

TITLE

Coring Supervisor (6) Project Work

DESCRIPTION
For a long-term winter drilling project. The candidates should have some coring and wellsite experience and a B.Sc. or Diploma in Geology/Geophysics or Hydrogeology. Must have strong computer skills, good oral, and written communication skills, be able to work day/night shifts, and have a clean driver's abstract. A vehicle, accommodations, field supplies, and fly in/out living arrangements will be provided.

MAIN DUTIES
• Conduct or direct geological core logging,
• Supervising core labelling and QC of coring operations, and prospecting field trips.
• Prepare notes, sketches, core handling, core transportation and filling up database.
• Prepare digital core logs.
• Assist Lead geologist in the evaluation and analysis of coring operations.
• Conduct or assist environmental and safety control of all aspects of the projects.
• Reporting directly to the Lead Geologist and on to the Project Supervisor.
COURSES
Courses required for this Position:
H2S*, First Aid*, CSTS, Wellsite Masters Oil Sand Labelling course (OCLC), Wellsite Masters Oil Sand Quality Control Course (OQCC).

TITLE

Geotechnical Supervisor (3)

DESCRIPTION
For long term drilling program, the candidate should be B.Sc. or Diploma in Geology, Hydrogeology, or relevant education or equivalent and have experience in the geotechnical monitoring instruments like VW Piezometers, Inclinometers, sampling of split spoon sampler and Shelby tubes etc. Knowledge of Index Testing of soil will be an asset. Must be familiar with the Athabasca region facies scheme. Must have strong computer skills, good oral, and written communication skills, be able to work day shifts, and have a clean driver's abstract. A vehicle, accommodations, field supplies, and fly in/out living arrangements will be provided.

MAIN DUTIES
• Supervise and monitor geotechnical field activities.
• Prepare Field Logs as per USCS specification.
• Computer literate having through knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Bulk sampling for proctor tests.
• Installations of VW Piezometers and Inclinometers in the shallow holes.
• Collect auger Samples for various laboratory testing.
• Sampling from split spoon sampler and Shelby tube and shipment to the laboratory.
• Will require to visit drilling sites to work with operations personnel and to provide oversight of works being conducted on-site.

TITLE

Lab Technician (2) Project Work possible Full Time

DESCRIPTION
For work in long term Oil Sands Projects in the Fort Mc Murray area, we need services of a Lab Technician reporting to the Lead Laboratory Coordinator.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory Technician essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• To conduct soil and granular soil testing in accordance CSA/ASTM standards.
• Installation and monitoring of hydrology and geo- hydrology equipment.
• To prepare daily laboratory reports and compile the data.
• To conduct site tests if required.
• Coordinate with Geotech Supervisors and prepare inventory of soil samples.
• Maintain and calibrate the soil testing equipment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A degree/diploma Civil/Geology/Mining with (C.E.T) at least 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs is required. This includes the ability to train other laboratory personnel in use of the system as required.
