May 2012 Coming next spring
"WellSource" - Full Integrated System


  • November 24-25, 2010 November 24-25, 2010 Two day Orientation of field crews and field supervisors with the Digital Tracking System in Carbon, Alberta. The orientation was conducted to familiarize all personnel with the functions on programs used before and introduce new software for the upcoming operations.
  • March 12, 2011 March 12, 2011 Successful completion using the digital system for the First Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all computers from the rigs. The Program Included digital data collection using the WM Field System for over 550 wells.
  • March 22, 2011 March 22, 2011 Successful Completion of theSecond Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all personnel from the field. The program included full Field Supervision and the full WM Digital System for over 600 wells.
  • May 2012 May 2012 Successful Completion of theSecond Winter Drilling Project 2010-11. Demob of all personnel from the field. The program included full Field Supervision and the full WM Digital System for over 600 wells.
  • July – Sep 2010 July – Sep 2010 Testing WM Digital System with Suncor.
  • September 2010 September 2010 Completing New WM Cost Control system.

Predrag Ljaljevic
President

Mr. Ljaljevic received his B.Sc. in Exploration of Oil and Drilling, Department of Mining, in 1991. In the last 12 years he was involved in a variety of management roles in Oil Sands project supervision including Project Manager, Project Lead QC and Drilling Manager. Involved in the oversight 8000+ wells of different types for major clients in the Oil Sands Region.

Predrag has experience as a Completion and Production Engineer, as well as a Field Logging Engineer, having logged over 310 wells. From 1997 onwards he has worked as an independent geologist on over 260 wells (AB, SK, and BC area).

At Wellsite Masters Ltd. he is responsible for the organization, preparation and execution of different Oil Sands Projects, using advanced internally developed computer technologies.

Jeevan Thomas P.Geol.
Lead Project Coordinator

Mr. Thomas holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Alberta and has worked five seasons as a geology coordinator at Wellsite Masters on various oil sands projects (CNRL, Esso, Shell) in the Athabasca Region. Masood Idris P.Geol.
Lead Geotechnical Coordinator

Mr. Idris holds a Masters degree in Geology with Specialization in Petroleum and Structural Geology. He has accumulated over 25 years experience in: Geological core logging, geotechnical core logging, geological mapping, Engineering geological mapping, subsurface investigation, Material testing and Drilling Supervision. Mr. Idris is currently a member of the Wellsite Masters team. 

 

Jerry Pilny 
Project Supervisor

Jerry has a variety of geological experience including massive sulphide exploration in the Flin Flon Manitoba area, geotechnical & paleontological work with the Ontario Geological Survey, as well as drilling for uranium west of Baker Lake in the Canadian arctic.  He received his M.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and for a decade was part of a group there using geological & paleontological indicators to help understand global climate change.  For the last 15 years he has worked as a wellsite geologist in conventional oil of the Western Canada Basin, gaining experience in many aspects of drilling and safety operations as well as detailed core & sample analysis and description.He has over 10 Years experience working on major projects in the Oil Sands region (CNRL, Total E&P).


Gopal Dongol, Ph.D., P.Geol.
Lead Geologist

Mr. Gopal Dongol received a Ph. D. with a dissertation entitled "Stratigraphies on either side of the Peel Fault System in the Pigna Barney and Curricabark Watersheds, NSW" from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. He holds a Masters degree awarded for his "Quaternary sedimentary environments of Kathmandu Basin, Nepal" research by the University of Guelph, Canada. He was involved in geological mapping of the Nepal Himalayas with the Canadian Land Resources Mapping Project. For the last ten years, he has worked as a field geologist, sedimentary petrologist, and engineering geologist in Canada. He has been a part of the Wellsite Masters team since 2006 working both on the CNRL Gregoire Project (2006-07) and the Suncor Voyageur South Project (2008) and Athabasca Field Program 2008-09, 2010-11).

 

Dan Vukadinovic, Ph.D., P.Geol.
Lead Geology Supervisor

Dan obtained his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Monash University (Australia) in 1990 and has over 25 years of geological experience in petroleum, metals, and research and lecturing at the university level, with international experience in Yemen, Indonesia, Australia, and Germany.  He has been a project manager on numerous ventures in both the field and laboratory, most recently leading the geological team at the Athabasca Field Program this past winter.  Dan has over 10 years experience in oil & gas in the western Canadian basin.  His days as a research scientist have honed his computer and data management skills, giving him superb data interpretation skills, especially in structural geology and geochemistry, and excellent writing and speaking skills.

Ivy Potrebenko 
Cost Control Coordinator

Mrs. Potrebenko has worked in cost control and accounting from 1990. During the last 17 years she was involved in General accounting. From 2003-2007 she was in charge of all complex phases of field cost control at the Horizon Oil Sands Project where her duties included:

  • Responsibility for client communication and ensuring that supervisors were informed of all aspects of accounts.
  • Studied and collected information to determine standard and actual costs of material purchases, inventory, and labor.
  • Analyzed data obtained and recorded results, using computers.
  • Evaluated actual manufacturing costs and prepared periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

Mihajlo Stevanovic P.Eng 
VP Engineering

We are very proud to introduce Mr. Stevanovic as a new member of Wellsite Masters Team.

Mr. Stevanovic has over 16 years experience in civil/structural engineering, inspection, client liaison and preparation of reports for industrial clients in North America and Europe. Industrial experience includes consulting and project management for the design and construction of numerous fertilizer, gas & oil, oil sands and petrochemical facilities, pipelines, power facilities, pulp and paper facilities, buildings and other civil engineering structures.
Major projects have included:
Suncor Energy, Syncrude Energy, Albian Sands, 
Structural Engineer responsible for:

  • Conceptual and detailed engineering calculation for feed conveyor.
  • Lead Structural engineer for Plant Operation Building.
  • Feed conveyor design.
  • Tailing, froth and cold water pipeline design.
  • Steel tower design.
  • Breaker building foundation design.
  • Pump foundation design.
  • Conveyor steel and hopper connections review.
  • Hydro-transport pipe line design.
  • Wet steel tower design with various types of support for equipment (conveyors, dryers, tanks, pumps, etc.).
  • Foundation for Wet and Dry tower.

Rebecca Dunfield 
Safety Manager

Ms. Rebecca Dunfield is in the process of obtaining her NCSO designation and has completed the Occupational, Health and Safety Certificate Program through the University of Calgary. Rebecca has worked in various industries such as mining, construction, drilling, and forestry. During 2010 and 2011 winter drilling season on Alberta Field Program, Rebecca was responsible for:

  • Ensure legislation compliance for geology and drilling operations
  • Review incident and near miss reports and implement corrective actions
  • WCB claims management and disability management
  • Conduct trending analysis for reporting purposes
  • Perform Audits and provide summaries
  • Maintain Certificate of Recognition
  • Coordinate safety training
  • Facilitate orientations for new and existing employees
  • Hazard assessments
  • Conduct daily/weekly inspections for resource, auger and sonic drills
  • Conduct investigations when an incident occurs
  • Facilitate/attend weekly safety meetings
  • Training
